Two Finalist Spots at the Women’s Enterprise Scotland Awards 2025
We’re delighted to share some good news from Glasgow.
Our founder, Jean Pryde, has been named a finalist twice in the Women’s Enterprise Scotland Awards 2025 - recognised for both sides of her work:
-
Business to Watch: Brilliantly Brave
-
Best Rural Business: Green Ribbons
Two ventures, one purpose.
For anyone new to our story, Brilliantly Brave and Green Ribbons are connected by design.
Brilliantly Brave transforms creativity into community impact, using profits from our greeting-card collections to fund free mental-health support across Scotland.
Green Ribbons delivers that support directly - through coaching, training and peer programmes that help people rebuild confidence and connection. Jean works with partners from local groups to national names including Rolls-Royce, Diageo and the RCVS.
Together they create a simple loop: art funds action, and action restores wellbeing.
Seeing both ventures recognised nationally feels like a milestone for rural social enterprise and a quiet thank-you to everyone who’s believed in what we’re building.
The Women’s Enterprise Scotland Awards celebrate the innovation, leadership and economic contribution of women-led businesses across the country. As CEO Carolyn Currie put it:
“Our Awards recognise the considerable contribution women-led businesses continue to make to Scotland’s economy… Despite the challenges they face, our women business leaders inspire with their resilience and determination.”
That captures it perfectly. Behind every idea, every course, every card, there’s a woman (or several) juggling deadlines, families and hopes, still showing up with optimism. Recognition like this shines a light on them all.
It also feels like a win for Moray. These nominations prove you don’t need a city postcode to make national waves. From a rural base, we’ve shown that creativity, compassion and a decent Wi-Fi signal can reach a long way. Across our region - in studios, cafés and kitchen tables - rural enterprise is thriving, resilient and quietly radical.
The awards ceremony takes place this October at voco Grand Central Glasgow, and we’ll be there, proud, grateful and probably still finding glitter on our sleeves.
Whatever the outcome, being named alongside so many extraordinary women-led businesses is an honour in itself.
Thank you to Women’s Enterprise Scotland for championing women in business, and to everyone who’s stocked our cards, joined our courses, or simply cheered from the sidelines.
This recognition belongs to every person who’s helped turn ideas into impact.
See you in Glasgow, hopefully with something shiny in hand, but already winning in all the ways that matter.
